Aren’ you tired of making same blogging mistakes again and again? C’mon.
Start a blog, write quality content and build a list. It’s pretty simple. Really?
You heard it often from (so-called) Pro bloggers. Why aren’t you getting the same results then? Think. Think. Well! You have a different scenario – a blog without much recognition on the web.
You’re busting your ass all day long but still, you end up with few comments and social shares. Most people give up in the middle due to this circumstances.
It’s disappointing. Do you still prefer blogging? Probably not.
Why is it happening with you? Well. There could be several reasons behind it.
That’s why I’ve listed the most common blogging mistakes to save you from the disaster. Follow these 9 common blogging mistakes to resolve your problem.
#9: NICHE. NICHE. NICHE (AH! YOU MESSED UP)
Niche selection is the first step towards making a blog. Select a primary* niche or sub-niches, depending on the level of competition. So, if you are a tech-savvy person, then you can create a blog about Android, iPhone, tips and tricks or tutorials, rather than jumping into the mainstream.
If you can review products well, then make a blog with comprehensive information to help the consumers. You can make a good amount of money if can manage it well.
Are you keen to start a niche blog? You should take a sneak peek on these following blogs → MoneyGossips, BloggingCage, MyDigitalBuzz, AllTechBuzz, NicheHacks, and GoBloggingTips etc.
You should begin with a comfortable niche. It’s not necessary, though. Everything will work out as long as you enjoy. Therefore, you should start with your favorite (or well-known) subject if you want to stay for the long run. Do you agree with my opinion?
#8: CONTENT ISN’T UP TO THE MARK
What do you think about your content writing? Does it satisfy you? You won’t be an excellent writer by including difficult words or something funny. Develop your style.
Keep it Simple, To the Point & Interesting!
It’s nonsense. Even I used to think similarly. I was such a jerk back then. LOL!!
Duh! You are not going to be an outstanding writer by adding “complicated/intricated” words within your article. Not at all. It’s just showing off. You could be a gifted writer but your readers might not so talented. Keep that in mind.
Don’t act almighty. Be humble towards your visitors. Write in an easy tone so that everyone can digest without any trouble.
Don’t be Ridiculous!
You are telling me that I will be able to earn thousands of dollars by following this lame strategy. Give me a break. almighty. You must be careful with your (fake) promises.
It’ll leave a negative impact on your blog if you can’t back it up. Avoid such ridiculous manner if you don’t want to see your visitors fade away gradually. You should prepare yourself to receive few tormenting responses.
BOOOOOOOOOOOORING!
If you are unhappy with your writing, your visitors will feel the same way too. It happens from time to time. You are losing the joy of writing and nothing seems to work out.
Don’t exaggerate. Take a break to regain your composure. Leave the work for a while and do something else (offline). It’s the best way to revitalize your mind and body.
Forget about the deadline for a while and relax. Don’t be so restless while writing or else your audience figure it out.
#7: BLOG TO MAKE MONEY (ONLY)
You must have bumped into one of these questions on several occasions. How to make money online? Do you get paid for real? Yep. It’s possible to make a decent income online. But it’s not a piece of cake.

Blogging is a long-term process. You can’t expect money right after putting few articles.
You need to update your blog frequently to keep your visitors busy always. But it doesn’t mean that you have to neglect money permanently.
Build trust among the readers and add advertisements after that. You’ll irritate your readers if you display ads from the beginning.
Make money online might seem like no work at all. But you have to work twice than a regular job to pay your bills. Don’t dive into online world without knowing the facts.
Let me make it crystal clear once again. You can make money online if you have the skill, patience, and passion for it. There are many ways to make money from your blog such as ads, sponsored posts, services and so on. Give your best effort to build an excellent blog. Will you?
#6: SOCIAL MEDIA OVERLOAD
Social media is the next stop (after search engines) to attain visitors for your blog. You share your article on multiple social platforms after finishing your article.
You are devoting a lot of your time (& energy) on the social media. But are you getting real benefit out of it? I mean that you aren’t going to receive loads of traffic just by sharing contents everywhere. You should’ve understood that.
Choose maximum three social media platforms to promote your contents. Connect with other bloggers to maximize your blogging circle. Comment, like and share each other work and reply to them timely*.
Why the hell are you using so many social platforms? Are you insane? You need quality, not quantity. Don’t go overboard for the sake of traffic. Beware of social media overload. Got it?
#5: NOT INTERACTING WITH OTHER BLOGGERS
Are you interacting with other bloggers? You should expand your network to get more benefits. You can learn new techniques about writing, monetization, content promotion, etc. from the fellow bloggers. You can discover link building opportunities as well (via guest posting).
#4: NO PARTICULAR SCHEDULE
You need to maintain a proper schedule to sustain your visitors. You can use an Excel worksheet to do this task. Now, update your blog according to your routine.

Don’t publish anything that comes to your mind.
#3. SELECT AN APPROPRIATE PLATFORM
Choosing a domain and hosting is an immense task before starting your online blog. But which platform are you going to exercise? Are you still indecisive about it? You’re making a dreadful blogging mistakes if your answer is yes.
Why did you decide to blog? Earn money or a mere hobby. You can start for free on Blogger, WordPress.com, Tumblr, LiveJournal, etc. But if you are here to stay for the long journey, then you must think about thoughtfully.
WordPress.org is a self-hosted CMS which is the most popular among the bloggers. Take a sneak peak at the major difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com.

Look for the other bloggers in the same industry and connect with them to find an opportunity for writing on the social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.). If you are dead serious about blogging, put all of your effort to execute your plans successfully.
#1: LACK OF PATIENCE (THE BIGGEST MISTAKE)
Blogging isn’t like an upfront job. You won’t get paid instantly like Freelancing. You have to be patient to make something out of your blog. You can do a rough estimation about your earning from your traffic.
You can’t expect instant money just because you’re working online. So, it might be possible to gain nothing even after 3 to 4 months or more. But don’t give up. Just hang in there.
I’m not telling you that it is a surefire technique, though. What are you going to do next? Will you give up or continue blogging?
Calm down and try to uncover your ‘blogging mistakes’ rather running away. You can put up a successful blog through your absolute endeavor. Are you up for the challenge? Patience is the most important key to unlock your blogging potential?
Blogging isn’t simple!
Blogging isn’t a piece of cake after all. Can you live up to expectations? How the Pro bloggers come up with a perfect topic all the time? Are they mind readers? LOL! It’s not like that.
You can do the same precisely. Perceive your audience demands primarily. What do they prefer to read on your blog? You will be able to write excellent articles if you can envision their thoughts accurately.
Also, you can cover most popular articles from your niche and enrich it with more quality information than others. Are you aware of Brian Dean’s exceptional guide “Skyscraper Technique“? You must read it thoroughly if you want to develop your blogging (and writing) intelligence.
